The Art Sport Festival is an annual event taking place in Wilkasy. It is organised by the Academic Sports Association for Art Universities. Students of music, art and theatre academies from various regions of Poland can take part. As a student of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw I had the opportunity to be there as well. The unusual form of the festival inspired me to create a visual identification for the event.

The starting point for the idea was to find an association between sport and art. In this case it was sport fans who paint their faces in colours of their beloved teams as well as artists expressing themselves by painting.

So, I decided to paint faces of festival participants in a design of a particular sport. They became heroes of the festival and symbols for each one of the disciplines: hockey, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, football and kayaking.

Based on these logos i created posters announcing the event, diplomas for winners and badges for members. My concept for Art Sport Festival  was warmly welcomed and became the official identification of the festival.
