TruckManager v2.0
TruckManager is a solution for drivers to visually see their route in front of them. It was designed to run on a Windows 7 tablet that is mounted inside the truck on the dashboard.
Each day when the tablet is started, it syncs all of the information needed from the driver to log in and completes prerequisite connection checks.
After the driver logs in, TruckManager pulls all of that routes information and data down to the tablet.
Once the driver goes to a complete a stop, TruckManager sends information in real-time back to the server so the dispatcher can view the details.
TruckManager also supports other types of features such as:
- RFID Technology - each can on the drivers route will be tagged with an RFID which is read by the system and sent back to the server
- GPS Technology - each stop on the drivers route is geocoded which can be translated to a map with the tricks live GPS location.
- Camera Technology - in cab driver security cams and the ability to take pictures of stops from inside the cab.
In this project, I completed the back-end code, front-end code, and all of the graphics for the UI. The project was designed in Visual Studio 2008 with C# and VB.NET
