Blended is a tea that brings together the flavors of the indigenous aboriginal people of Australia and the modern inhabitants from the west. The three flavors incorporate a native plant of Australia in conjunction with a standard type of tea. Each flavor features a different color, a different aboriginal symbol that alludes to coming together (ex: the symbol on the grevillea bottle means coming to a meeting place), and a picture of the area that the plant is native to.

 

I was inspired to do this project after a two month study abroad in Australia that focused on wildlife conservation and traditional ecological knowledge (TEK) where we worked extensively with traditional owners of world heritage areas.
