Adding colors to faded memories
Recolor Project is a service that helps people recollect the past by looking through their old photographs, and coloring a personalized coloring book with each of their life story in it.
It is an offline service where a social firm of senior welfare ties up with a professional photo printing brand to collect photographs from old people or their family, convert them into a coloring book, and provide the family back with a coloring kit. Old people can color the converted coloring book together with their family, and the outcome can then be combined with the story behind the photograph and made into memoirs in a form of a booklet or a picture frame, (however they would like it).
Recolor Project helps prevent amnesia as the old people's continuous recollection of memory as well as the coloring process are fine motor activities. It also helps family bonding and making of new memories.
By sharing the happy moments while selecting the photos, and adding colors to faded memories, new memories are made that can long be remembered by all family members.
