Under Investigation: "Sophia Corsava" Animation

INTRODUCTION

For this part of the project we were required to visualize the character/s one step further, by rendering a 3D model in Adobe Fuse. The idea was to be as accurate as possible in relation to the original sketch and descriptions. Once the character was modeled, it was taken into Mixamo to be rigged and animated. Then the character was posed in one of the main scenes of the story using Photoshop. As a final step, using Adobe After Effects, the character was animated into the scene.

Adobe After Effects Video

To make this video I brought the QuickTime file of Sophia's animation and the jpg photo used as the background for the Photoshop 3D Effect rendering, into Adobe After Effects. Then using the rotoscope tool I isolated the character from the grey background of the animated sequence and added the jpb photo to the composition. As a final step, to make the composition more exiting, I included two sound files; one of music for the background and a "kick" sound to enhance her movements.
