The logo was visually getting outdated, especially with the flat design gaining its popularity again. So my brother asked me if I'm up for a little redesign mission where I was asked to redesign and modernize the family logo. 

 

Every redesigning process starts with sketching up ideas and doing a lot of research - a lot of sketching and a lot of research. Inspiration is key so I spent a few days checking out other brands, trying to come up with a design and color palette. Eventually we agreed on orange as the main colour since everything is either blue or green on the internet, lately. 

 

Everything else just fell into place - after the initial sketching phase, I designed a few variations of the logo ideas I had. Picking out the font for the logo was fairly easy since I wanted something not too corporate or too childlish, and the font Lovelo filled that gap nicely.
