Boswells - Scrabble Coasters Banner
Upon having a new line of products introduced to the store, a banner was suggested in order to promote the new products - Scrabble tile coasters and placemats.
This design would later be used in for Social Media posts. The original idea was to use photos of the actual coasters and placemats in question instead of actual Scrabble tiles, however, the photos were of inconsistent quality and style. Because of this, I opted to recreate the coasters as closely as possible to the original product as opposed to trying to recreate an actual Scrabble tile. This is a subtle detail that would most likely go unnoticed, but is clear if you see that there are lower case letters rather than numbers in the bottom right of the tiles. Along with this, the Bluebell 33 logo and small print has been recreated in the bottom left of the tiles, however due to their small size, this is almost impossible to notice.
This entry shows my creative process to some degree when creating something like this, as well as the implementation of the graphics themselves, and lastly the final graphic as it looks prior to being uploaded to the website. This design was created with no previous illustrations or sketches, and was just created on the go, as the project was extremely time-constrained. All images and designs were made from scratch in Photoshop over the course of several hours whilst also juggling other work related tasks.
