Crossing the Andes en Caballo
Each year La Morada de los Andes gathers together its adventurous types to take the ultimate journey into the clouds, through mountain passes, and over one of the world's most impressive mountain ranges; the Andes. Starting in a valley outside of Mendoza, Argentina and ending in Santiago, Chile, this 5-day horse trek is the same breath-taking mountain pass conquored by General San Martin, Charles Darwin, and many more.

Armed with a team of experienced gauchos, well-trained horses, Argentina's most skilled mountain guides, and several bottles of fine malbec wines, fellow photographer and friend, Troy Schaddalee and myself embarked on an experience of a lifetime documenting this epic journey.  4000m mountain passes, blistering winds, river crossings, steep switch-backed descents, and many stories were made...not to mention some great friends.
