Bye bye bank rage

Heritage Bank briefed in a 'switch banks' project. It's a massive ask to get anyone to switch their banks, even though most Aussies hate their bank for a variety of reasons. I came up with the thought of bank rage: then 'bye bye bank rage' for a campaign line. Why not get them to alleviate their frustrations with their own bank, via a 24 hour, live active banner, which asks the question - Do you love your big bank? Heritage man can then, on your behalf, (once you typed in your answer), throw a tomato at your nominated target, either Yes, No, or the most popular target, When pigs fly. (I can honestly say I don't ever have to go to La Tomatina Festival in Spain.) This was backed up with interactive outdoor bus shelters, asking the same question.
The cheekiest part of the campaign. In the office tower above is Westpac offices, and Commonwealth Bank opposite. 'Hi up there, big bank executives. Wave bye bye to your customers' was the headline.
The Bye Bye Bank Rage campaign picked up:
Winner of AMI QLD Marketing Excellence - brand and experimential experience
Finalist for AMI National Marketing Excellence - brand and experimential experience
BADC Finalist - Integrated Media campaign
BADC Bronze - Digital and new media
BADC Finalist - Outdoor transit
BADC Finalist - Outdoor campaign
