Space Mercenary Simulator 2016

This project was made for Global Game Jam 2016. The key word this year was RITUAL.
 
I had the idea of making everyday rituals exciting. So what about the habits of a mercenary? He would wake up, brush its teeth, receive a notification with their mission, collect garbage to make the weapon, kill the victim and then go home with a burger!
 
This was the first thumbnail I did for the character design along with the possible weapons and some notes.
This was the final weapon concept with its trigger functionality and the sound wave explotion it produces,
Later our team decided to make the main character a machine and the victim a fish!
These are some tiles I created to be used in game as the notifications for the step the player has to make throughout the game.
We used third party assets to create the environment and 3d character because the time constraints of GGJ which is a 3 day event.
I modified the assets we had to put together the weapon. I UV unwrapped and made the tomato soup label.
