So often when we think of traveling we think of some far away places and impressive adventures, but sometimes we forget that there can be real jewels just next to us, silently waiting to be found. Weekend trip to Bamberg, a small medieval town located in a state of Bavaria in Germany was a good reminder for me. With its origins from 902, this small town has rich history and a lot to offer. Located on 7 hills, each of them having a beautiful church, small Bamberg town is a really romantic and picturesque destination which you can easily explore by foot.

Bamberg is listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site.
