A year or so ago, when Identical Variant would have shows at the musical venue in downtown Flint, MI called The Local, I randomly was given permission to draw on one of their walls the night before a show. That moment produced the IV mouse mascot being displayed on the Local's wall for a while.
At the start of this year, I was contacted again by The Local on being commissionsed to basically finish up the rest of the wall. The idea was to add on to the wall, but also display elements that are an usual occurance at the Local - music, dance, and comedy. So starting with a rough sketch I did on Photoshop of the proposed layout (and a handy projector provided by The Local), I was able to make the idea a reality. Thanks again to Joel and The Local for letting test out my possible mural making abilities for the one time.
