MY one · Experiential Design

MY one, took after the acronym of Malaysia (MY), is a experiential design idea based on interactive art installation. For this project, I was teamed up with one of my fellow coursemate.

It is an exhibition of an artwork that requires interaction between the art itself and the recipient of the art in order to convey the message behind the artwork. The artwork responses to the action of the audience and the outcome depends on the audience’s interaction. The theme of the interactive art installation we would be working on is the Unity among Malaysians.

We then decided to have the hornbill and hibiscus as individual interactive artworks. This is because they are iconic symbols in Malaysia.

Concept art of the hornbil and hibiscus growing in the digital artwork after being 'feed' by Malaysian. Mock animations of the subjects in the artwork is also illustrated.

People could type personal message and help the artwork ‘grow’. But the catch was one person could not finish it, the artwork requires many people no matter who to unite and complete the artwork.

Enjoy the motion graphic below!

Upon deciding on the art direction of the project, a short introduction video is being constructed using vector visuals and motion graphic animation.
