    "Feed" explores antebellum slavery in the United States and the food practices of Black slaves.This piece focused on accounts of Black Americans stating that their slave ancestors were served food on pig troughs as well as the worst parts of the animals such as pig ears, chicken feet, turkey neck, oxtail and tripe amongst others. By filling up a pig trough with these raw meats,the artist forces the audience to participate in a sensory experience that brings the spectator back in time. Through using food history as a main focus, the artist discusses Black physical and cultural survival as well as Black imagination and resourcefulness. Read Less
