The business stamp has a neutral look and starring the digit (1 or 2 as the value of the stamp).
The digits in this design derive from a shape which can be found on an envelope, in particular on business envelopes. They often have a rectangular flap with oblique angles. The 1 and 2 are highlighted out of the same pattern.
Late 2013 PostNL invited nine young designers to design a new business stamp, as replacement for the well known business stamp of Hansje van Halem.
These stamps were not issued.
