Pavilion design is a multi-functional open-air structure which allows many New Yorkers and all visitors to extend range of activities they undertake in Central Park.

Easy recognizable shape of an Lyre - ancient instrument that resembles a romantic poetry of a harp that brings to mind a memory of circular fountains and monuments found throughout the Park.
