Body (3 Perspectives)

Project: Ways of Seeing
Work developed in my master degree in comunication design.

For this project we had to choose a theme and I had to develop three different perspectives with the same theme. We had to think how we are developing our object depending the perspective we have choosen. For example if we choose a Photographer we had to developed a work thinking how the photographer would think.
First Perspective: Corset Book (Collector)

For this book I wanted to do something really simple and clean. I organize all the photos per order, for people have an idea of the evolution of this object trought the years. I choose only the photos that were taken from the front. The design is really simple, and one the left I put the informations about the corsets, and on the right the images of the corsets. I wanted my book to be really simple because I wanted for people to appreciate the beauty and the details of the corsets.

Second Perspective: Origin of Body Modifications (Historiador)

For this book for the content, I wanted to be all about traditional cultures. If we think this cultures do body modifications, that can be as extreme as what our culture do. This book is divide in 6 chapters: neck ring, foot binding, scarification, teeth sharpening, skull binding and lip plate. The design is simple and I choose to put all my photos black and white because some of this modifications are really antique and I wanted to do this conection with the past. The chapters, all of them have the respective image of the modifications, the name, the origin and about.
Third Perpective: Posters "Modifications of the body" (Photographer)

For the posters I did a collage with different pictures. I use some pictures and I put them together in one photo. The idea was to show in the same image lots of modifications people do to their body.
