Chinese Language Support Project for Ethnic Minorities in Hong Kong



ABOUT
The project, Chinese Language Support and Research Programme for Non-speaking students in Hong Kong, is initiated by Hong Kong Baptist University in 2015. The main goal is to assist ethnic minorities in Hong Kong (Pakistani, Indian, Nepali and Filipino, etc) learn Chinese effectively so as to be well-equipped in their future careers and integrate into Hong Kong society.


INSPIRATION
Newspaper collage: English newspaper pieces at the back upside down for readers to focus on the pieces of Chinese news clip, which are about government policies failing to help them learn Chinese and secure promising futures, urgent need for curriculum of teaching Chinese as a Second Language (CSL)
