GISHWHES is The Greatest Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen. (www.gishwhes.com) Each year a new Mascot leads the participants on a merry journey. Though the hunt runs internationally for a week each year, the promotion and narrative of each mascot varies; they have their own personalities, and interact with the gishers via social media for the year of their reign.
Olivia Desanti is the primary graphic designer for GISHWHES and creates the hybrid mascot each year. My job is then to flesh out the character and provide design and illustration that expands their unique personality.
This project overviews the development of the Fograt Mascot.
The Fograt was my first project. I worked with Misha and the gishteam to create a series of historical events that our precious ratbird was secretly quite influential over.
