Every place tells a story of its own- it has its own essence and evokes a certain vibe. Multiple shots can often be used to enhance what a space can say.

This was an observation exercise shot at Yelahanka Old Town flower market and was made in collaboration with Hoshedar Shroff.
This was a two part documentary exercise to learn basic research methods and how to conduct interviews.

Part 1: Interview
Amod Kumar Bhutiani is the proprietor of a small restaurant in Yelahanka, Taste of India. His establishment is known for the  homely food it serves college students.
Amod Kumar has lived his life shifting places and jobs and now wishes to set shop in a permanent and 'happy' place.

This was also a collaborative effort between Hoshedar Shroff and myself.
**The video is quite noisy as it was made with camera sound.
Part 2: B-roll Edit
Here, we have used alternative footage to show the emotion and life of Amod Kumar Bhutiani in abstraction.
This video was made in collaboration with Hoshedar Shroff.
What does the name of a city mean, and why are our cities changing their names?
Where does a name originate from and what do the inhabitants of the city feel about its name?

'Bangalore/Bengaluru?' is a documentary film about the recent change in the name of the city Bangalore, now known as Bengaluru.

The saying goes that an interviewer must know the answer to every question asked before it is answered. That is the true skill of taking a good interview. This excersise showcases subtle metorphors using B-roll, interviews and also research skills.
