Whole 반, a book made during Artist Book, a class taught by Nabil Gonzalez during Wintersession 2016.

 

The book has two opposite sets of signatures bound by coptic stitch. The book is meant to be viewed with each signature turned simultaneously. The pages have corresponding text and portraits drawn in graphite.

 

Depending on the viewer's language, whether fluent in English, Korean, or neither, the text will have different meaning.

One cannot assume the text is translated from the other language.
