Final Comp. Banknote series. This concept is based on herbs, seeds and spices, which tie into the Silk Road and the trade of such goods. The front of each bill has a piece of the Silk Road trade route and is scented with its featured spice. 

This is the first round of sketches for my banknotes. The theme is Silk Road trade and the countries involved.

This set is a variation on the first idea with more details added. I wanted to incorporate elements in each banknote to emphasize the featured country.

This set of sketches is the first round on another idea, which revolves around seeds. The far left side of the bills would be embossed in the shape of individual seeds to give the bills texture and to assist the blind. 

These next two pages revolve around Native American herbal remedies; each one has the symbol of a different tribe.
