Last year, I got the oppurtunity to work with Mount SI Winery on their Label and brand Identity. It was my first go at graphic design and working with a client on a design project. They had some ideas of what they were looking for, but for the most part I had to start from scratch which meant alot of different ideas, in alot of different directions. The image below is probably the worst idea I had: "Backpack wine"... pretty much speaks for itself haha
Then came this idea. I actually think they are pretty sweet but not really fitting for a wine label
The following ideas are for the same winery, but under their previouse name Couleur. They were using the artwork of their friend Dan, and wanted me to include it in the designs.
The dictionary label is probably the most direct attempt at defining the labels identity (pun intended - bad joke). I made the drawing from a photo of one of their friends at a Mount Si Winery tasting event.
The client went back and fourth between wanting the Coulour idea (above) and wanting the work with Mount Si for the label.
The following designs were my favorite, but the winery ended up hiring a professional, which was fine with me since around the same time I started working alot more.

It was a great introduction to working with clients and the design process. Cheers!
