This project is located in the limit between the big buildings of the university campus and the riverside. Because of this the project not only should have enough scale to face its surrounding buildings and become a part of them, absorbing the rationalist heritage; but also should be able to absorb the fluidity of the nature along the river.
I propose a “thick skin and an elastic heart” (by the time I was dealing with the idea, Sia released her marvelous song); a fortress to the outside, with an scenographic interior with the courtyards and the curves which create a soft transition to the park.
Only wood its used in this project, for structure and enclosing; using sustainable materials from our environment.
