Description
This was a redesign project of iRobot’s current package. The company was about to launch their most advanced Roomba to the market and wanted us to design a better packaging solution.
The Design Challenge
was to create a better opening experience. It was important to us that seeing the product when the package was opened for the first time was critical. The second thing was protection. The product weighed around nine pounds which meant the package needed to be very robust in order to keep the product safe during shipping.
Limited by an aggressive budget, types of materials and overall dimensional constraints created additional challenges.
