Problem:
The locker room was dated with old wooden lockers. We needed to provide a low cost upgrade until a new locker room was built.
Solution:
I decided to go with a very clean, high contrast vynl wrap design that was cost efficient and easily updatable for the lockers. The basketball moto was 'INAM' (it's not about me) I decided to go grey scale on the players and have the TN orange be emphasized.
Problem:
The player lounge was stark white walls with a few decals. It was very cold seeming and not very welcoming. The space was intended for community and hanging out, and it had awesome real-estate, but was being under utilized.
Solution:
The graphics needed to be somewhat timeless (the wall graphics will stay up for about 3 years) and needed to utilized the INAM mantra. I generated two dark wall graphics that focused on the TN brand and the team versus and individual. I decided to go very dark on the walls because the area was used for film study and relaxation.
Playing off the TN nickname 'Rocky Top' , I used a team huddle picture to create a mountain peak, symbolizing collectively they make up TN basketball.
This graphic was at the locker room exit and the last thing they see before competing. It message is, play with fundamentals, teamwork, and nothing flashy.
