I enjoyed making this pixel art activity, i had alot of fun desigining my own character and recreating a favourite game character.
It is surprising how simple it is to create a pixel art character and yet how when your done all the shading and zoom out to see the finish product it looks way better than you expected. The first character i created was off the top of my head, I went for the knight type of character, kinda similar to the style of arthur from ghosts and goblins. the second character I recreated was the iconic blob kirby. I chose to recreate this character because he isnt too detailed in terms of shape, but shading was kind of difficult.

2D vector background for hokkaido sunset
the background i created is based somewhere in the hokkaido mountains , during the sunset. i made the sunset red to create a relaxed feel and also i added in a explorer and birds to make it feel more natural and not just have a bland background. the type of game im targeting is a atmospheric sidescrolling walking simulator

Bio
Muhomono also known as gary, born in a small town outside of houtson texas, son of the town sheriff, he loses his father at the age of seven due to a bandit attack on the town by the most wanted outlaw in the west sketchy steve as he watches steve leave taking a way his mother. Lives in an orphanage until one day he gets adopted by a master assassin and becomes an apprentice. He then becomes a test subject on a skill enhancing drug. his master does not tell him that it was all a lie and that his purpose was to become a super weapon to control all of tokyo. muhomono filled with rage and a blood thirst to kill ends up killing his master and sets out to kill sketchy steve to get revenge for the death of his father, but who knows if he will be satisfied. who knows if this is enough to quench his blood thristy killing spree. all remains a mystery for he flees the country in search of his mother.
