Birth of the User
An extension of Henry de Valence's "Gravity Letters", used to create a visual interpretation of a quote from Ellen Luption's "The Birth of a User" essay: "Text is a game to be played, as the user responds to signals from the system. We may play the text, but it is also playing us."
I used the words from the quote and the mouse interaction to create a "game" for the user to play with the text. Unnoticed, the extension is now gathering data on where the user has clicked and responds by subtly increasing the font size to keep encouraging interaction is the previously selected area.
