Kudiya Ghat (Lucknow Monument)

Kudiya Ghat(River bank) of Gomti River in  Lucknow, is one of the ancient and sacred places in Lucknow city. It is named after Rishi Kaundilya, who had established his Ashram in Lucknow near the river bank in early times. This beautiful Ghat was rebuilt in 1990. You can also view here  an old  Shiv Temple built in the year 1889. A number of people enjoy swimming here and particularly in Kartik Purnima millions of devotees come here and take a holy dip in river Gomti.  It is must-see Ghat in Lucknow. Peaceful environment of the River bank  and beauty of Kudia Ghat attract  many piligrims and travellers who visit Lucknow. Boating is also available here at a very nominal rate. The nearby old Iron Bridge can be seen from this Ghat. Vicinity of this Ghat - the age-old monuments of Lucknow, like Clock Tower, Rumi Darwaja, Imambara,etc. adds a lot to its importance in the city. It is most liked place for Lucknowiteis to pass their evenings. Boating is also available at very reasonable rates.
