I had to develop an art's project based on a object chosen by me. As I love DIY and needlework I chose a PIN with a colorful bead on top.The I had to create an association with something to create a final piece.
So I started by looking at these particular pin, and others with other colors, and I came up with words like "puncture", "volume", "pain", "beauty" and "color". That's when it "hit me"! Our society requires us to look "perfect", an practically impossible perfectness - UNNATURAL - So people submit themselves to pain due to all kinds of treatments and surgeries.
