Silicon puppet Fabrication for a Stop Motion 1 class at SCAD. The body of the puppet was sculpted in clay, with a mould made from Ultra-Cal and then casted in Silicone. The head had silicone moulds and casted in plastic with hand fabricated replacement faces which seam lines under the glasses of the character. The eye expression was incorporated in glasses with replacements for the blinks.
For the set an animatable diving board was made using cold foam with a aluminium wire armature.
The Stop motion set was made in collaboration between Animation Undergraduate / Graduate and Production Design Students at SCAD under the supervision of Prof. Nathan Asquith.
