When I started as a UX Manager 2 years ago, I immediately began to wonder whether I was good enough. I thought, "What does it take to be a successful manager, to build a great team and do great work?". To get answers to these questions, I sought out my personal UX heroes and invited them to lunch. This gave me an amazing opportunity to learn from some of the great UX leaders in Utah. To really set their lessons in my mind, I wrote up each interview as an article and published them to my Github Pages and to my personal site. This gave me the additional opportunity to tinker with some new technologies and platforms and to push my abilities in responsive web design.
Through this series of articles I was able to meet some amazing people, learn valuable life and professional lessons, and set a successful course for myself as a manager. After the series was published, I met so many people who had read and appreciated the articles. It was a unique privelege to document the professional philosophies of some people I admire and be able to bless the lives of others by sharing what I had learned.
PS—I'm using the great Desk Template by Jérémy Paul to frame my design.
