Redesign of a ticket buying and checkout system for a popular concert venue website. This was a short exercise where I worked with a team of 3 other designers to brainstorm the most important features, content hierarchy, and layout. Wireframes were done with the team also and presented.
We started with one idea: that customers who visit this site often already know what show or concert they're looking for, and are mainly just here to purchase. (This probably isn't the true case but this exercise was only about 30 minutes long).
Because of this, our pages remained very minimal as opposed to normal venue websites that are often cluttered with information, banners, promotions, and ads. We then mapped out the ticket buying flow and created wireframes in Illustrator based on that. Our main improvements were reorganizing a lot of elements and content in terms of hierarchy, making sure the navigation was clear and concise for ticket buyers, and keeping to a clean, focused, minimal design.
