Gloucestershire College Course Guide 2016/17

The new Gloucestershire College Course Guide for 2016-17, which is the first point of contact for prospective students, officially launched earlier this year and is undoubtedly the best one yet.

Available in printed and PDF format, the new guide provides prospective students, their parents and careers advisors with all the information they could ever need to know about the College, its three main campuses in Cheltenham, Gloucester and the Forest of Dean, and the range of courses and support available to students.

With a modern and vibrant look, complemented by its eco-friendly, FSC Recycled textured paper, the new course guide features plenty of visuals, which really showcase the College’s facilities and the stars of the show… its students!
Key pages include:
‘Your First Steps’, guiding students in thinking about their goals and options, and explaining how GC Student Services and the Advice Team can help.

‘Qualifications Explained’, providing an overview of the Levels and their equivalents – something that has been quite confusing for students in the past.

‘Apprenticeships’, which explains the benefits, elements and options, and showcases some of the College’s star apprentices in their workplaces.

‘Work Readiness’, giving an overview of the programmes and projects available at GC that can help students find the ideal experience to support their aspirations.

‘The College Experience’, covering all of the extra-curricular sports and Students’ Union activities students can get involved in.

‘In and Around Gloucestershire College’, giving an overview of the facilities available both on and off campus, including the Graduations salons, Food Central and Chelsea Brasserie restaurants, libraries and nurseries.
‘Higher Education and Progression’, explaining the opportunities available after they finish their college course, such as a

HNDs, higher apprenticeships and foundation degrees.
There are also pages dedicated to each academic department, their courses and apprenticeships; the student support and funding available; and frequently asked questions, as well as links to the hugely popular GC The Movie series – 19 videos showcasing each academic area and starring GC staff and students – which has achieved over 330,000 views since launching in February.
