Left of the Dot Media inc. asked myself to complete a vinyl timeline using the main wall in their new office space. I was given a list of achievements and events from the company’s 5 year history. I started by measuring all dimensions of the wall and creating a to scale model within Adobe Illustrator. I then decided on how to distribute the years evenly. After determining all of the technical layout and measurements I began designing graphics and typography for each event. Once completed I used a 1 foot wide vinyl printer to cut all graphics after transferring files into the appropriate software. I then installed all vinyl using a laser level to ensure accuracy.

 

Before beginning this project I had no experience using a vinyl cutter, through this I learned a lot about designing for this medium and ended up with a great products employees and visitors of the business see on a daily basis.
