Kyocera, Communications Inc. was ready to add a new Android smart phone with a QWERTY keyboard to their line of products for CES 2011. With a brand new screen and key platform, the design was up to our team. I became the lead designer for ENCORE. I created inspiration & form boards, concept sketching, and closely worked with the engineers to develop the phone in 3D. Working closely with the mechanical engineers in Japan, we created a phone with new technology and an updated look to add to the Kyocera product line.
