This is a Master project: “pocket books of nostalgia”. Each books is handmade and consists of three parts the owner of the book or his friends/relatives can fill with various memories. It is useful for people, who have to stay away from their home places for long periods of time due to their work/study etc. They can also be useful for people who suffer from depression or for anybody, who would like to have some of their memories in analogue form. 

My research for the project included a survey, where I asked around 70 people, what makes them feel nostalgic. In the end I picked 10 most popular answers and created 10 categories - each consisting of three pages. They form the first part of the book. The second part consists of empty pages where the owner of the book can write down other memories, that don’t fall into any of the categories. And the third part is for filling it with pictures/writings from other people etc. 

All the textures are hand-made, I used different combinations of tea and coffee in order to achieve various and interesting results. At the same time I kept in mind that the paper is going to be used for writing so the patterns shouldn’t block the readability. All the books are also hand-made, I used the same tea or coffee for the threads so that they look authentic as well.
