TACTILE GRAPHIC BOOK

Tactile graphic book 'Bo, Messy and Shampoo!', the winner of National Tactile Book Competition (for visually
impaired children), India and selected in the judge's best category of 'Typhlo & Tactus' 2013, France!
 
The book tells the story of siblings Bo and Messy and revolves on themes of hygiene, cleanliness and brother-sister bond. It involves various materials/ textures as well as text in braille educating kids by involving process description and interactivity.
The pages of the book have been designed keeping in mind visually impaired readers by providing a soft base line as the indication for direction on each page.
Objects which can be felt freely and all round by the hand have been stuck on one side,
thereby making it easy to handle and sense the feel of the object.
Various objects stuck in Messy's hair
Patch of bubblewrap used to indicate foam of shampoo and its amount on the palm of the hand. 
Use of wool and rough strings helps in distinguishing contrasting textures of smooth and rough.
