The „Fuchsjagd Brauhaus“ (analogously „foxhunting brauhaus“) is a pub based in Düsseldorf which serves traditional German dishes and the local well-known „Altbier“ brewed in the „Füchschen“ (analogously „tiny fox“) brewery in Düsseldorf in a modern atmosphere. The brand identity is based on the story of searching and finding during a traditional fox hunt and its obvious parallels when you go out in a pub or a restaurant. You want to find friends, search for old acquaintance or you look after a good meal. You search for it and you will find it with a little bit patience. It’s always some kind of a hunt.
 
In the logotype the fox is hidden at first sight, but can be found on the second: just with a simple deconstruction of one letter – the „J“ in the center of the brandname. The monogram of the deconstructed „J“ reveals a head and a tail from a fox, which is also used as symbol in the „Fuchsjagd“-communication.

The challenge of a new corporate design of „Fuchsjagd“ was based on the creation of a visual identity that connects tradition and modernity. Inspired by the light flooded beer glasses filled with Altbier or the brewing kettles, copper was chosen as the prime color and was combined with a modern and warm grey and a grotesk type.
 
It’s always some kind of a hunt.
Referring to the brand identity the menu of Fuchsjagd is like hunting the meal of your choice. You have to search for it. And it’s about floating through the pages with editorial elements and some tracks, little advices or hints to some Fuchsjagd specials.
