KUL1 Widebody
portable beverage dispenser/cooler, 2010
I have to admit, it's a lot of fun when you can say that you've designed a kegerator. This project began as a proposal for one of the biggest beer companies in America, and eventually evolved into a design and engineering study targeted at wineries, micro-breweries, and event venues.
The design is clean and simple with an intuitive, easy to use interface. The focus is on functionality, not wow them with good looks. Large flat surfaces allow for wrapping the cooler with marketing/branding materials.
The cooler can hold up to 4 different beverages, and dispense with 4 distinct temperature zones. The access doors rotate out for ease of loading/unloading, and each compartment can hold either a single 1/2 barrel or two 1/4 barrels.
