POETRY SLAM 2016
Thaqalayn Muslim Association and Islamic Relief are back with the second year of their annual Poetry Slam. This year the theme is Freedom.
The date is set for March 3rd, 2016 at York University. Make a note on your calenders folks!
The design of the posters were inspired by modern minimalistic art. Using shapes, colors, spacing and well thought out typography to achieve an effect where the focus is on the content.
The first design as you can clearly see is of clouds and grass to represent freedom through nature.
The next design which is what the team decided to go with was inspired by unlocking one's inner self. To represent that I designed a bird flying out of its cage. I stuck with as little color as possible to put emphasis on the the bird as well as the type.

Decided to change the type as some information was unconfirmed and we needed to start advertising right away.
