Bend & Transition was created by Marc as part of his graduate level thesis design to complete his Master of Science degree in Environmental Design - furniture and fixtures track - at Art Center College of Design in 2015.

Today old boundaries are blurring. Fewer professionals have their own assigned office space and how we work is changing, too. Work can literally happen anywhere, anytime. Leisure and activity, antonyms by classic definition, have become less mutually exclusive. Modern interior spaces are commonly open environments with areas and activities delineated by furniture. Biophilic desires correlate with more types of architectural environments that seamlessly integrate the outdoors.
The Transition center table is the core of the Bend & Transition is a modular furniture ecosystem, designed to delineate use of space in a wide variety of unique environments. Beyond a typical furniture collection, Bend & Transition offers flexibility to match lifestyles in the digital age—anywhere, anytime, indoors, outdoors and somewhere in between.
The lower tray slides out for ease of access, providing an option for placing things out of the way.
Seated at tables, we often have multiple objects at hand—e.g. a cup of coffee, a tablet computer, and a book. All Transition tables, including side and pull-up versions, provide two-tiered surface levels. The lower surface provides an additional out-of-the-way but accessible place to tuck away devices and other objects beneath, reducing clutter. The lower tiered tray of the center table slides out for ease of access, providing an option for placing things out of the way.

Transition table tops are made of a non-toxic, recycled paper pulp solid surface material. This material is extremely rigid, resistance to stains, water, heat up to 350 °F and bacteria. Structural hardware is made of powder-coated aluminum.
