This poster design was for a concert poster held by Endicott College, a local college near me where I lived in Beverly MA. I am friends with one of the regular DJs in the area and he needed marketing materials for the upcoming concert he was booked to do. We decided to do a poster that would go to print and be able to be posted on social media. 

 

The term "Nest Fest" is recoginized by the students, because it is an annual event that they have. "Nest" is also the name becasue the their school name- the Gulls. I used a 3D extrusion of the the word nest fest after I incrased the tracking of the font. I added some glow to the text which really made it pop over the abstract background. I was happy how I was able to blend in the photo of the massive concert with the Nest Fest text. The concert is much smaller than the one depicted in the photo, so it was later changed to just a few people dancing- a change requested by the client. I kept this version for show. The gold information text has a drop shadow to stand out of the highly contrasted background.

 

This was one of my smaller projects over the last year, but I had a lot of creative freedom and I am an avid concert goer, so it was fun for me to create.
