Recently I was watching TV Channel 12 (the local cable channel) broadcast of Wellington High School Boys Basketball team's playoff run. I've never really been too into basketball, but thanks to the commentary and high energy play of the team I got sucked into watching.
This inspired me to redesign the decades old Wellington Dukes logo. I've always liked the original logo, but I've always heard rival high schools refer to him as 'Mr. Peanut' due to his top hat and monocle. So, the challenge was to keep elements of the original logo (monocle and top hat) while adding a more aggressive element. Below is the result.
