As a part of my final for Karen Carr's course, Freak Shows, Minstrel Shows and Human Zoos: Spectacles of the Human Body, I explore my morbid interest in gore with a visual representation. The conversation of this sculpture aims to discuss how we require a material body to exist in an equally material world, however this vessel of organs we use to navigate our world with is inherently fragile and timed for expiration. Perhaps my fascination with gore is because it establishes the mortality of our physical form.
