Heirloom eight was inspired by the unusual and the idea was sprouted from a drawing I did several years ago in high school. I worked from this idea and created two more drawings using the same two characters. The “steampunk-like” woman and her pet octopus together create the abnormal art for these labels. As for the name, heirloom eight came about through the idea that this octopus serves as not just a loyal pet, but someone who is passed down through owners and serves almost as a butler, a comrade, someone always by your side, like an heirloom. Heirlooms are what memories are made of; they hold significance and carry meaning.
After all, isn’t that what you want from your wine?

heirloom eight 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon
alc. 13.2 percent
A lush bouquet of dark violet, red rose, cedar and a touch of vanilla lead the way on your palate while the elaborate oak, in the form of buttered toast, is perfectly in balance, never overshadowing the simpler notes. Smooth and silky, the tannins work well against grilled or roasted beef, lamb, and pork inspired dishes.

heirloom eight 2011 Rosé
alc. 12.6 percent
Powerful, yet never pushy. This wine offers subtle barrel nuances, with ripe plum, peach and dark berry fruits. Along with this is a stylish crispness, just touched by spice and toast. This wine pairs well with barbecue and curries, and delicious alongside white-rinded cheeses such as Camembert and Brie.

heirloom eight 2011 Pinot Grigio
alc. 13.2 percent
Luscious and rich, this sweet wine shows both power and intensity without losing any sense of structure; like drinking drops of nectar with smokey honey and orange zest and finished with a tender, crisp aftertaste. Pairs well with most fish and seafood dishes or try with a lamb ragout with olives and peppers.
