1st prize in the Competition by Invitation sponsored by the Rectory of the University of Lisbon, with the scope to promote its extension to Auditorium (900 seats), Laboratory Spaces and Teaching Areas, it is a building with 5 835 sqm of gross building area, located in the center of University Campus of Lisbon.
The intervention is boxed between two pre-existing buildings, thus its volumetry and harmonious integration has been strongly conditioned by the already existent buildings.
This difficulty however proved to be the motto of the intervention, which is characterized by a square, for public use, under which three auditoriums (convertible in one) can be found, without any impact on the surrounding urban fabric volumetry (University Campus).
