Hive comes from the observation of and fascination for the geometrical shapes which are recurrent in nature.

By chance, an abandoned hive fell into my hands, right at the time when I was experimenting with organic foundry.

Wasp and bees, which I was afraid of since I was a child, build this sacred structures that I can later use to create. Thanks to them I've been able to look at their world from a closer perspective, facing my fears by working them.

While working and shaping hives, I try to preserve as much as possible their original shapes and textures, keeping their natural spirit as a token of respect and gratitude towards their work, which is now also mine. With foundry I transform their hexagonal and ephemeral structures into sculptures that might prevail.
