Cornell Interfraternity Council Rebranding

A friend of mine, and the new President for the 2016 Executive Board of Cornell University's Interfraternity Council came to me in early January to take on the role as the official Graphic Designer for the organization. The first project that was given to me was that of rebranding IFC by starting off with a new logo. The original logo was outdated and lacked the modern direction that IFC was moving in, so I made sure to reflect the transitions being made within the logo.
The actual graphic portion of the logo keeps the traditional notion of a Greek Life organization, but modernizes the entire symbol with the use of the sans-serif font.
LOGO PROCESS
The left logo is the original logo I came up with. My colleagues loved the modern sans-serif font, however felt that the pillar's curves were too femine for the organization. I responded with straight pillars as well as the wreath used in Cornell Panhellenic Council's logo to keep some consistency between the two groups.
