In this project, I had extended a project which I had completed in first year college. The original brief was to design the logo and apply it to different things liek mugs, vans and even a website mockup. This is a well thought out UI/UX design which takes into account a lot. I started by researching my competitors like Kiss, Capital and even BBC. I had then thought how I can create something unique which brings me to this design!
This is the initial screen that any user would first see when opening. This is a simple loading screen which I feel did not need too much attention as it only appears for a few seconds on initial opening. If the app is open, it will take you to the last screen you were on! The logo was originally red so I kept the exact colour. It was the primary colour.
The main element which appears on every screen, the navigation! The design has a grey colour as I did not want to overpower it with red throughout my whole design. I have the social media platforms at the bottom which will a) open the app linked to the social media platfrom if installed or b) open the link in a browser. I have added a profile element on the top for some functionality on the other parts of the app.
This is the main screen. I ahve combined elements in this design from the main features. I done it by sections. The player at the bottom is static which means it will always stay there. I have added a large section to show what is being broadcasted. There is a large album cover which if clicked will show the rest of the songs in a list form (much like the listen again). On feature that apps do not have is the recently played feature to show what song had played in the app. I have shown the news which is published by a copywriter team.
This is a group feature where you can choose to socialise with other people who like a certain type of music. You can choose a group which would entertain you and discuss music. This is a feature only available to use if you are logged in.
This is what happens when you join a group. The title of the group changes to the group you have chosen. This is the way the messaging system works.
Finally, this is the Listen Again screen where people can type in a song and listen to it once again like spotify. Again, you can click the album image to show other songs which was released in the album.
